Tania Jones, Chris Sperring, and Zoe Flack: Course-based partnerships for climate action in Wellington

Hear about a collaborative course project about a collaborative course project between the Wellington School of Business and Government and WellingtonNZ, a Wellington City Council Controlled Organisation (CCO), aimed at reducing tourism-related carbon emissions. The session will highlight how the initiative benefits our city, while offering students valuable hands‑on learning opportunities, and at the same time advancing the university’s sustainability leadership. You will hear from a student in the course, and the course teaching team, as well as a representative from WellingtonNZ. Together they will highlight the important role that universities and students can play in supporting cities on their journey to a more sustainable and climate friendly future.
