Kaicycle - Climate Connect

Join Kaicycle and our friends Free Fares NZ and Climate Liberation Aotearoa for a working bee in the māra.

Lots of us are motivated and keen to get more involved in climate mahi, but joining an activist group can be scary. This is a low pressure opportunity to get your hands in the soil, hear about climate activism from us and other groups and ask any pātai you might have. These groups are using different tools and methods of activism, so you'll have lots of opportunity to hear about what might suit you.

We'll be doing work like weeding and planting, followed by a shared lunch.

Ages: All, under 16s to be accompanied by an adult.

    Kaicycle is an urban farm & composting initiative in Newtown that has been operating for 10 years. Our purpose is to develop a circular & resilient food system in Wellington. We do this by connecting people of all ages with the whenua, sharing our knowledge on organic & regenerative growing practices, collecting & composting food scraps from local businesses and households on e-bikes, and donating the kai we produce to the Home of Compassion soup kitchen and the Newtown Community Centre.
