Consultation on the draft Social Housing and Rent Setting Policy closed on Sunday 5 July 2020.

Thank you for your interest and to those who entered a submission, completed the survey or spoke to us in person.

Your views and suggestions are valuable to us and will help form the final proposal to Council. After the next round of Oral Submissions, all the feedback we have received will be presented to Councillors for their consideration as they deliberate and decide on the final proposal in August.

We will be leaving the rent calculator on the website for tenants, and you can still ask us a question. We will endeavor to answer any questions as quickly as we can.

What’s your favourite thing about your home?

We provide rental homes for people in Wellington with low incomes and special housing needs, for as long as their needs exist. Most of our tenants are single people and small families who are able to live independently but may need some support. Our tenants include fit elderly people, refugees and migrants, people with disabilities and those needing support with their health.
