During this Wilson Street closure, the remaining open segment of this block of Wilson Street to Daniell St becomes a local two-way for the affected residents and businesses, and for stage performers.

· Newtown Avenue. Note: the closure in front of 17 and 19 Newtown Avenue, where the stage set-up happens, begins on Saturday 6 March 2027 at 7am and extends to 11.30pm Sunday 7 March 2027

· Normanby Street from number 14 to Riddiford Street

· Donald McLean Street. Note: the closure of the Donald Mclean laneway at 5 Donald McLean Street begins on Saturday 6 March 2027 at 7am and extends to 11.30pm Sunday 7 March 2027

· Ferguson Street from number 15 to Donald McLean Street

PROPOSED TEMPORARY ONE-WAY TRAFFIC AND BUS ROUTE

During the Newtown Festival closure:

· Daniell Street - from Constable St to Mein St becomes ONE WAY North as the Festival Bypass towards the city.

· Owen Street - from Mein St to Constable St becomes ONE WAY South as the Festival Bypass from the city.

· Hanson Street - from Stoke St to Hall St becomes ONE WAY North towards the city to alleviate local congestion on festival day.

· Wilson Street - from Daniell St towards Riddiford St becomes a ‘locals only’ two-way as access for affected local residents, local businesses, and Wilson St stage performers to and from the backstage road closure. (this block of Wilson St is usually one-way)
