Proposed road closures

The Regulatory Processes Committee will meet on Wednesday 4th March 2026 to consider the following temporary road closure for an event.

The proposed road closures to vehicles, cyclists, and motorised scooters are as follows: Wellington Pride Parade: Saturday 7 March 2026 2.00pm to 8.00pm.

  • Tennyson Street (between Tory Street and Cambridge Terrace 2pm to 7.30pm)
  • Dixon Street (between Taranaki Street and Victoria Street 4pm to 8pm)
  • Courtenay Place (between Cambridge Terrace and Taranaki Street Westbound Lane only 4pm to 7.30pm)
  • Cambridge Terrace Lane Closure only (Tennyson Street to Courtenay Place 4.45pm to 6.30pm)
  • Tory Street (entry/exit into Courtenay Place from Tory Street closed 4.30pm to 7.30pm)
  • Allen Street (entry/exit into Courtenay Place from Allen Street closed 4.30pm to 7.30pm)
  • Blair Street (entry/exit into Courtenay Place from Blair Street closed 4.30pm to 7.30pm)
  • Taranaki Street and Courtenay Place intersection will be closed while the parade crosses into Dixon Street

The parade starts approximately 5.00pm to 7.30pm running as follows: Tennyson Street to Cambridge Terrace along Cambridge Terrace to Courtenay Place along Courtenay Place to Taranaki Street into Dixon Street through to Victoria Street where the floats will disperse onto Victoria Street.
