Wellington City Council’s Safe City team is working with the Newtown community on a range of safety initiatives.

We are doing a survey to help us understand how people currently feel about safety in Newtown and identify the issues that matter most to the community. The same questions will be asked again in February 2026 to see whether perceptions of safety have changed over time.

All responses are anonymous and will be combined to give an overall picture. The survey should take about 5 minutes to complete. Thank you for sharing your views.
