Wellington City Council’s Safe City team continues to work with the Newtown community on a range of safety initiatives.

This survey is a follow up to the Newtown safety survey carried out in October 2025. It is intended to check in with the community and understand whether perceptions of safety in Newtown have changed since that time, using the same set of questions. The survey is being repeated after a three-month period to track changes in community perceptions of safety and understand the effect of recent initiatives.

All responses are anonymous and will be combined to provide an overall picture of community perceptions. The survey should take around five minutes to complete. Thank you for taking the time to share your views.
