Miramar North Play Area Renewal

Consultation has concluded

The Miramar North play area is due for an upgrade, and we'd like to hear your feedback on the draft design.

The proposed changes include:

  • renewing the swing set
  • changing to a springer seesaw, so a single user can enjoy, as well as with a partner
  • adding a new play module
  • adding a carousel
  • changing the surfacing to new synthetic surfaces

Please refer to the Miramar North Play area Proposal for more information.

We’d like to hear your feedback on the draft design, please let us know your thoughts by emailing playgrounds@wcc.govt.nz by 5pm 26 September 2022.

More information

Miramar North is a neighbourhood play area, that is a handy place for a quick play, with play opportunities for at least one age group. It is designed to service the local neighbourhood within an approximate 600–metre walking distance.

We're renewing these play areas to make them an even better place to play. You can read more about Wellington City Council’s strategic vision and planning for play areas in Wellington in the Play Spaces Policy (2017).
